Curves, Culture, and Connection

Updated: Jan 21, 2025

Being a black woman of size, most certainly, I have always found myself attracted to tall, muscularly built Asian men. I don't know if it's the dark hair, darker eyes, and strong features that I find quite irresistible. One could never know the feeling I get for them; it is more of an inner thing.

I am exposed to all cultures: having been with men of all races, I find that no one quite connects to me like the Asian men do. Just something about their way of life, their culture, that makes me go gaga.

Currently single, but I still lust after Asian men. They come from such varied cultures and their work ethic and family values are quite appealing. Most Asian men I know are nice, respectful, and quite stimulating to talk and learn from; these are really strong attributes I admire.

Some people may wonder how a plus-size black woman could find attraction in Asian men. But that is really immaterial to me; in fact, my own preferences are mine in the way they matter.

But I do wish that my story would encourage some plus-size women to accept their bodies as well as themselves. You deserve love and affection, no matter the size or shape of your body.

Exciting news to all Witches of Words members! We are launching a writing challenge that will stretch your imagination and take you to new perspectives. All members, including those not yet met by the audience, are invited to write a short story with an Asian male and an African American female as main characters.

The aim is cultural understanding and illustrating that we all speak in unique voices among our community. They should mention love, identity, living their culture, and personal growth, but other aspects may be explored. Let the imagination run wild to craft such vibrant storytelling that brings these characters to life.

We can't wait to see what amazing stories spring from this challenge. It is that leap of faith, stepping outside your comfort zone, learning about different cultures, and making lifelong friendships through your writing. Happy writing, Witches of Words!
